Radiographic Examination RT

Radiographic Examination is a non-destructive testing method used to detect expected volumetric and surface defects by penetrating X and Gamma rays into the material.

Two different radiation energy sources, X-Ray and Gamma, are commonly preferred. The choice and strength of the radiation source varies according to many different factors such as the size of the component and the thickness of the material. As the rays pass through the applied surface, some of them are absorbed and defects such as pores, cracks, etc. are detected in the material.
